Fundamental Principles of International Taxation

The Program focuses on helping students understand the principles associated with the movement of tax persons and transactions across borders. It is based on the application of domestic laws and Double Tax Treaties as enshrined in the OECD & UN Model Tax Treaties. The course shall utilize examples from practices of developing and developed states to elaborate the difference in jurisdictional application.

About This Course

This MOJITAX course covers the foundation of international tax practice. It is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced tax professionals. In this course, we cover the basics of tax systems, economic principles that govern jurisdictions, intergovernmental institutions as well as principles and soft laws, enshrined in Double Tax Treaties. Students will also gain an insight into administrative procedures, compliance and risks issues as well as recent trends in tax practices.

On completing this course, students should be aware of the basics of international taxation practice as well as confidently pass ADIT’s Principles of International Taxation.
